FAQ
Everything people ask about Zere
We’ve gathered the questions that come up most often. Can’t find yours? Send a request and we’ll answer personally.
Getting connected
How to start
What do we need to set up Zere?
A separate number for her, a list of employees with phone numbers, and one person who will assign tasks. Setup takes about a day.
Do employees need to install anything?
No. They save Zere’s number and message her like any other contact: by text, voice message or photo.
What number does Zere write from?
From your company’s number, the one you connect. We recommend getting a separate number for her rather than using the one your customers write to.
Can we connect only part of the team?
Yes. You can start with one department, one shift or one location.
Can we give the assistant a name of our own?
Yes. Zere is the default name; you can give yours a different one.
Day to day
Tasks, group chats and reminders
How do I assign a task?
Write or dictate to Zere what needs doing and by whom: “Aidos, update the price list by Friday”. She finds the employee, sets the deadline and sends them the task.
What if an employee doesn’t reply?
Zere reminds them about the deadline, and if the task’s author asks, she keeps reminding until the person answers. You’ll see that the message was delivered and read, and the evening report names those who stayed silent.
Can the assignee move the deadline themselves?
No. They can ask, but the task’s author decides. If the author agrees, the deadline changes; if not, it stays.
How does Zere behave in a work group chat?
She stays quiet until someone addresses her by name, with an @ mention or by replying to her message. Tasks and reminders go to assignees in direct messages.
Does she understand voice messages? In which languages?
Today Zere works in Russian — voice messages included, with names and workplace vocabulary. English and Kazakh are in progress. If your team works in another language, mention it in your pilot request.
Does she understand photos and documents?
Yes. She reads photos, videos, PDF, Word and Excel files and can attach them to a task.
Points and reports
Follow-up and motivation
Are points mandatory?
No. You can run just tasks and reports. Points are switched on separately, and you set up the grid to suit your team.
Can points be tied to money?
Yes, to the bonus: you set the price of a point. A minus reduces the bonus; base pay stays the same.
Who gets the evening report?
The owner and the managers you name.
Where can I see all the tasks?
Ask Zere in the chat or open the manager dashboard in a browser. An app for iOS and Android is in the works.
Data and terms
Security and pricing
What does Zere see?
The direct messages people send her and the groups she has been added to. She can’t see what employees write to each other, or your chats with customers.
What happens if the WhatsApp number gets blocked?
Zere is an independent service and not a WhatsApp product, so we give no guarantees for this channel. Tasks and history are stored with Zere: you connect another number or carry on in Telegram, and work continues.
Who owns the data?
Your company. We’ll export it on request and delete it if you decide to leave.
How much does it cost?
We discuss terms with pilot participants individually. We’ll announce pricing after the pilot.
